Held April 27, 2023, this session hosted by CGBG, Hempitecture's Jonnie Pedersen and Max Sagdahl highlight the urgent need to reduce embodied carbon in the built environment and showcase how hemp-based materials can help achieve this goal. Hempitecture shares experiences in creating sustainable building designs that utilize hempcrete and hemp batt insulation, which have low embodied carbon and offer excellent insulation properties. They emphasize how the use of hemp-based materials can help reduce carbon emissions in the construction industry and create more sustainable building designs.
