DOE Announces Upcoming Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Webinar

EERE offers webinars to the public on subjects ranging from how to adopt the latest energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies to training for the clean energy workforce. Webinars are free; however, advanced registration is typically required. You can also watch archived webinars and browse previously aired videos, slides, and transcripts.

June 7: Live Webcast on Streamlining ESPCs for Small Sites

The Energy Department will present a live webcast titledStreamlining ESPCs for Small Siteson Thursday, June 7, 2012 from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. The session will benefit energy managers and other professionals interested in learning how federal facilities can realize energy and water savings in six months or less with a new project funding approach—the Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC) ENABLE program. Subject matter will include eligibility criteria and the use of standardized forms, as well as self-assessments to reduce application time, costs, reviews, and approvals.

May 22: DOE Highlights Tool to Estimate the Economic Benefits of Fuel Cell Adoption

The Energy Department presented a live webinar on May 22, 2012, featuring a new modeling tool for estimating the economic benefits of fuel cells in early market applications. The tool, called "Job and Output Benefits of Stationary Fuel Cells (JOBS FC): Economic Benefits of Fuel Cells," estimates the number of jobs created by deploying fuel cells in forklifts, backup power, and prime power applications.
