Financing Efficiency for Contractors

Learn how to help monetize the performance of energy improvements and hear about tax incentives and financing options available to you and your customers including traditional commercial lending solutions to leasing programs. 

Also learn about Senate Bill 212 – CPACE (Commercial Property-Assessed Clean Energy) that was recently signed into law by Governor Hickenlooper.

Speakers:

Christopher Russell is a nationally-recognized expert in the planning, justification, and evaluation of business-sector energy cost control initiatives.  He is a visiting fellow with the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy in Washington, D.C.  He served as the politically-appointed energy manager for the Howard County, Maryland government.  He has documented and evaluated energy management practices at dozens of facilities, and has advised corporations, utilities, trade associations, and government agencies in the planning and promotion of industrial energy programs.  He is recognized by the Association of Energy Engineers both as a Certified Energy Manager and as a Carbon Reduction Manager.  He is a capstone advisor to graduate students in the Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies (Real Estate).  He holds an MBA and a Master of Arts from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University of Canada.

Kimberly Merrill is the Senior Vice President of Engineered Tax Services, Inc. (ETS) and has been an entrepreneur for more than 20 years since she began operating numerous successful companies that specialize in energy efficient products. Her drive for information led her to discover the significant benefits for businesses and commercial properties by understanding specialty tax incentives.

Matthew H. Brown is the Principal of Harcourt Brown & Carey Energy & Finance, has worked in the energy finance and policy field for more than 20 years. Matthew has worked in Colorado to negotiate and establish a State Treasurer-funded energy efficiency loan program.  He also has worked with Tucson Electric Power and 
the states of Iowa, Florida and Michigan to develop clean energy financing products and programs.
