Project Description

The Haystack Residence is an example of an integrated approach to design and construction where collaboration between architects, contractors, suppliers, and the homeowners produced an exceptional, livable, and energy efficient home.

Designed by bldg.collective and built by Lindgren Construction, this custom residence was conceived  as a contemporary farmhouse.  The ranch style residence is comprised of simple, gabled volumes assembled in an additive manner and finished with a contemporary material palette.  The result is a series of comfortable, livable spaces with dramatic views to the western mountains as well as numerous outdoor patio spaces.  Attention to detail in the design and construction of the home produced an air tight and well insulated building envelop that is designed to maximize the efficiency of the heating and cooling produced by the geothermal ground source heat pump system.  This project serves as an example of what is possible when thoughtful design, quality construction and readily available products and materials are combined to produce a durable, practical, and sustainable residence.

Project Details:
• 4,200 conditioned sq. ft. living space; 950 sq. ft. garage
