The Colorado Green Building Guild is a Resource for  Non-Profits, Utilities, Policy Makers and Jurisdictions
We develop customized collaborative partnerships to help you reach your energy efficiency and green building goals including:

  • High participation rates of an educated contractor base to market and implement your DSM programs and other green building initiatives
  • Training for jurisdiction staff to help them work with local contractors to meet codes
  • Resource for Best Practices with an emphasis on the ARRA funded BetterBuilding Programs around the state and country
  • Assistance with developing effective programs based on lesson’s learned in other communities
  • Assistance with developing local Guilds to support local contractors, building code efforts, and a local green economy

We strive to build a vibrant engaged trade ally network of contractors, suppliers and realtors to increase market demand and help transform the marketplace to make green building common practice. The Guild offers a comprehensive package of local government support, professional training, collaboration & networking forums, policy advocacy and consumer education.

Through collaborative partnerships with non-profits, governments, and utilities, we:

  • Leverage existing investments in code and demand side management programs
  • Share best practices and successful business models from around the state and country
  • Increase consumer participation by helping contractors and suppliers market utility and government green building programs
  • Develop an educated pool of contractors and suppliers to help ensure high quality work, consumer satisfaction, and maximum gains in resource efficiency
  • Provide consumers with the ability to make informed decisions about their projects and contractor choices
  • Increase consumer confidence and reduce confusion due to "greenwashing”
