A native of Southern California, Jamie studied Environmental Design at the University of Colorado Boulder before expanding her studies in Burbank, Hollywood, Paris and Barcelona. She received her B-Arch from Woodbury University in 2002 and has since worked as a designer and project manager focusing primarily on high-end residential design. She currently works at Sopher Sparn Architects. Jamie returned to live in Boulder in 2007 and is committed to the philosophy of sustainability in both her career and everyday life. She chaired the CGBG Membership committee from 2008-2011, joined the Business Development & Education committee in 2013, became a Board member in 2015 and is currently co-chair of the Outreach and Digital Presence committee.

Ron Flax, RESNET, LEED AP, is the Building Sustainability Examiner for Boulder County. Previously he worked for Ron Flax Consulting, a Building Science based firm focused on improving our health, our environment, and our future. Prior to this, Ron spent six years as a Project Manager for Rodwin Architecture and Skycastle Homes. Ron has been a member of the sustainable building community for the past 17 years and has extensive hands-on experience in both design and construction, including time spent swinging a hammer. He was the 2011 recipient of the Colorado Green Building Guild Leadership Award, as well as 2012 Conservationist of the Year from the Center for Resource Conservation. Ron is currently focused on promoting practical solutions for high performance homes, and increasing the resiliency of our built environment.

Marn Heggen AIA, CPHC, LEED AP is a licensed architect and owner/principal of Heggen Design Works. She has been dedicated to energy efficiency and environmentally responsible design and construction for over 15 years. Marn’s expertise in green building comes from hands-on experience from pre-design through construction on over 15 LEED certified buildings. She has assisted in the development of sustainability policies for universities, municipalities, and property owners, leading and supporting design teams in meeting new standards and ordinances in sustainability. Most recently, Marn has been active in the Passive House movement. She is a Certified Passive House Consultant and enjoys the challenge of designing and constructing buildings to reduce energy consumption by 80% above code. Marn received her Masters in Architecture from the University of Colorado and her B.S. degree from University of Wisconsin.

Charles is a marketing consultant for several Front Range, Denver Metro, and national professional services companies, with an emphasis on design, construction, and sustainab. When he’s not doing that, he conducts seminars/ workshops on modern marketing for small-to-medium sized businesses and sales teams.
His background includes a BS in Biology, a MArch in Design, and several years as a designer/ project architect/ construction administrator/ BD associate for Seattle-area architecture firms. After moving to (and then from) Switzerland, Charles began pursuing a career in marketing strategy and branding with Apple Computers, Novartis Pharmaceuticals, Covidien Healthcare, and Denver marketing agencies. In 2011, he landed in Boulder, founded his own marketing company, and joined the Boulder Green Building Guild. He has chaired the Guild’s digital communications committees since 2012.

Henry has been an energy efficiency expert, architectural designer, and sustainability consultant over the past 27 years. His passion for the triple bottom-line (people, planet, profit) has defined his career for the last decade. His guiding principle is to keep the future bright for the next-generation, creating a sustainable society re-energized by carbon neutral energy technologies.
He has distinguished himself as a community leader by serving on the City of Boulder’s Climate Action Plan advisory board helping to initiate the nationally recognized Energy-Smart Program. He was founder and chairman of the annual Best of Boulder Valleys Green Building Awards, which has become the Colorado Green Buildings Awards Program. He is currently working on a database of the 100 best Green Buildings in Colorado hoping to have a list of case studies for the CGBG website.

Rosemarie serves as the Sustainability Coordinator for the City of Fort Collins. Prior to assuming leadership for the municipal operations’ sustainability, Rosemarie was a dean at for ten years. She currently teaches Global Environmental Change and has taught graduate level courses in environmental law, and climate and behavioral sciences for fifteen years. Rosemarie has taught abroad in Central America. She has worked as an environmental law consultant on Superfund sites. She earned a BS in Environmental Science from Rutgers University, an environmental law degree from Vermont Law School and a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership. Rosemarie was the founding Chair of the Colorado Strategic Energy Group. She is a backcountry ski ranger at Cameron Pass. She published her first book "Jumping from the Ivory Tower: Creating Sustainable Communities through Service-Learning” in 2009. Rosemarie was named the National Geographic’s Sustainability Scholar and nominated as Volunteer of the Year for Larimer County in 2013 and 2014.
