An Efficiency Works training.

Join us for a presentation of lessons learned from the Efficiency Works Building Automation Systems (BAS) pilot program. 

This training investigates what happens when owners and staff have the ability to track savings in real-time and how monitoring-based commissioning (MBx) enhances analysis and savings.

Speakers from Iconergy, City of Fort Collins and Schneider Electric will present the latest tools and methods for BAS, including the connection of BAS and Continuous Commissioning. The following topics will be presented:

·       Building Automation: not just for large buildings anymore

·       How to use BAS to monitor your systems and save energy

·       Continuous Commissioning: Don't fall into the fix and forget trap


Speakers:

Doug Hargrave, GGA, CEM

The President of Icon Energy, Doug Hargrave has served in energy management and sustainability for over 20 years, including experience in government and utility programs, public policy and individual projects.

Hargrave is proficient in all facets of the industry, including energy engineering, implementation, construction and post-construction elements, such as measurement and verification of energy savings, operability of facilities and training.

Throughout his career, Hargrave has pursued methods to make energy savings last longer, while helping smaller commercial buildings save energy.

Stu Reeve
Currently serving as the energy manager for the City of Fort Collins, Stu Reeve focuses on energy and water conservation, as well as overall efficiency in the City’s municipal facilities.


Prior to the City of Fort Collins, Reeve worked as the energy manager for Poudre School District (PSD), providing leadership for the districts energy management programs and energy efficiency teams. His teams evolved into award-winning programs, recognized by both the U.S. Department of Energy and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Reeve has been involved in the integrated/collaborative/sustainable/high performance design approach to building facilities and managing commissioning services since 1999. He’s an active member of the Association of Energy Engineers, and is a founding member and past chairperson for the Colorado Association of School District Energy Managers.
