CEU's for this course:

Gary Goodell, building official for unincorporated Boulder County, will discuss the county’s latest "above code” energy, green building and sustainability building code amendments, including the county’s goals, comparing the 2009 code adoptions to the latest 2012 International Codes, and the adoptions and amendments proposed to be heard by the Board of County Commissioners on September 27.  The presentation will include the county’s BuildSmart residential program, amendments to the 2012 IECC and the potential for adoption of the new International Green Construction Code (IGCC).

The City of Boulder is evaluating updates to the IPMC, the Green Points Green Building program for new construction, SmartRegs energy efficiency requirements and ongoing quality assurance for rental license inspections.  The evaluation of potential changes will include continued conversations with stakeholders in the community, and will be integrated into the upcoming code update process.   City staff will give an update on this evaluation process and expected timeline.

Officials from the City of Longmont will also be available to present code related updates.
