The mission of the Foundation is to develop and implement green building education to transform the market place to make green building common practice.
The Green Building Foundation was created to support the educational activities of the Guild. As a 501 (c3), this organization can accept tax deductible donations and leverage relevant grant funding.
Current Activities
Green Playhouse Design Competition and Auction
Developing a robust website to:
- Bridge consumers with qualified professionals including providing a platform for Guild members to show off their qualifications,
- Creating an online ask an expert forum for consumers, and,
- Providing valuable resources for consumers to understand their finance options and see case studies that inspire and inform.
Previous Activities
Published the Boulder Green Building Journal from 2006 to 2008. Archived journals can be found here.
Supported the creation, by EarthVision, of a robust website that uses virtual globe technology to aggregate and analyze critical data in order to drape information over cities and landscapes to create 3D models that can be used to engage, learn and garner support for critical issues such as climate change and green building policy and strategy.
Supported the creation, by EarthVision, of an online tool to make it easy for consumers to identify green homes.
